God is on the move in our Catechesis of the Good Shepherd program! This fall we will be welcoming new families into our community, as well as siblings from our current families. The number of atrium sessions has grown again, with a very full Nido-Toddler atrium, four Level I sessions, three level II sessions and one Level III session. Indeed, the "flowers are all planted" and the program has bloomed nicely!
Please continue to pray for the guidance of the Holy Spirit as we plan our Level III space this summer. Our atrium space seemed huge three years ago, but now the process of adding an addition atrium seems daunting. I place great hope in God's unfolding plan. So far His plans are far exceeded my imagination and expectation!
Please continue your Mass routine this summer. Scripture and liturgy are key partners in Catechesis of the Good Shepherd. The Mass is a crucial part of participation in the program. The children need to attend Mass faithfully, to offer God their love, praise and thanksgiving, but also to help them understand all that is presented in the atrium. It would be wonderful to give them time to continue pondering all they learned this year during the summer. We all need the graces and blessings we receive by attending Mass faithfully and receiving Jesus in the Eucharist. Young children need it to grow in faith and develop a strong relationship with our heavenly Father.
I will be away for a week of Level III training this August and I suspect I'll be in the atrium quite a bit figuring out the space. My only prayer is that God will lead the way to make it all work. I am looking forward to working with your wonderful children who I am certain will return ready for more challenging presentations!
