Our Catechesis of the Good Shepherd program is growing in numbers by the day! We are meeting new families and adding new children to our 2026-2027 year interest list. Our atriums are all comfortable in their new spaces, and we are enjoying for a fruitful and joyful year together. Please continue to pray for the guidance of the Holy Spirit as we continue through this atrium year. Catechists will work to keep you informed about their programs. You will receive information about the children's work so that you can continue to share and discuss the material at home. We are here to support you as your child's first teacher, so please don't hesitate to ask if you need something.
Scripture and liturgy are key partners in Catechesis of the Good Shepherd. The Mass is a very important part of participation in Catechesis of the Good Shepherd. The children need to attend Mass faithfully, to offer God their love, praise and thanksgiving, but also to help them understand all that is presented in the atrium. We all need the graces and blessings we receive by attending Mass faithfully and receiving Jesus in the Eucharist. Young children need it to grow in faith and develop a relationship with our heavenly Father.
We are very excited that this year we will be adding our final atrium for students 9 - 12 years. Ms. Virginia and I are both working toward completing our catechist training, the materials are being created, and the space is being carefully considered. We are thrilled that in the fall we will be able to continue working with our wonderful Level II children who are ready for more challenging work!
As the snow continues to fall, and the cold winds blow, remember God gives it all to us for His own good reasons, and in His own good time the beauty and warmth of spring will return for us to enjoy. God bless you and your families!
